EVERLASTING LOVE

What can I say about her that would deliver true justice?

The woman I have cherished above all else.

What can anyone say that would deliver true justice?

All those she met found her selfless.

In business, she was hard and demanding of perfection.

In life, she was soft and demanding of affection.

I have known no other that I could deliver up my heart to and have them accept it with reverence.

Her infectious laugh I could hear ringing around me.

Her infectious smile first captured me and her love and devotion enslaved me.

We would always joke that she had bewitched me all those years ago,

cast a spell that enfolds me to this day.

Our love was always signed 'everlasting'.

But she has been taken away from me... Taken away from us all.

I have had thirty-two years of true friendship, true love, and true desire.

How can one separate individual moments from such?

How can one express her life in so few words?

She gave of herself until it hurt,

and many times it hurt,

then she would turn around and give some more.

I love her for the woman she became.

I love her for the friend she became,

and I love her for the wife she became.

I will always love her,

with 'Love everlasting'.
